How to get started with Techno production in 2020

Techno production becomes easier every year because of the rising number of online tutorials and courses. But at the same time it becomes more difficult, because it's hard to develop a style or sound which has not been there before. The competition is massive and gets more every year. Also the quality of the average production is constantly on the rise.

Don't worry, we can help you out! In order to get you started quickly with Techno production we recommend to install Ableton, FL Studio or any light version of a DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) to your computer. You will also need a beginner audio interface like this one from Focusrite: Scarlett Solo 3rd Gen

You will have to watch some tutorials to learn the basics in Ableton or FL Studio, but the next step will be to use samples. Experienced producers can design their own sounds, but to get you started quickly and help you to finish your first track as quick as possible you can use this 1GB free Techno sample pack which includes 542 loops and oneshots!
